LES HEURES SOMBRES – TEMNÉ MOMENTY

Tradičné orientálne „záhradné“ koberce pochádzajú z púštnych oblastí, ľudia na nich zobrazovali záhrady vybudované v púšti. Systém závlahových kanálov prinášal životodarnú vodu kvetinovým záhonom. Tieto záhrady sú púštnymi zázrakmi, oázami. Boli zhmotnené v kobercoch, aby si ľudia mohli vytvoriť oázu kdekoľvek na svete. Priestor pre oddych alebo modlitbu.  

Môj koberec je interpretáciou týchto orientálnych kobercov, oázou v mestskej džungli. Text umiestnený v bordúre „Temné momenty ťa nedefinujú“, hovorí o nádeji, že v temných momentoch to nie sme úplne my a rozkvitneme v tých jasných chvíľach. Je mantrou, alebo želaním. V centre interpretujem symboly a motívy orientálnych kobercov. Koberec vymedzuje osobný priestor, symboly a motívy sú nositeľmi atmosféry tohto priestoru.

Balansujem na hrane dizajnu a voľného umenia. Keďže je mojím subjektívnym vyjadrením, maľbou, a zároveň pracujem s funkciou koberca, ako vymedzenie osobného priestoru, vytvorenie oázy a domova kdekoľvek na svete. Je doplnkom interiéru a zároveň sugestívnou meditačnou pomôckou.

LES HEURES SOMBRES – DARK MOMENTS

Traditional oriental “garden” rugs come from desert areas. People used to depict desert gardens on them. Smart system of water canals brought life for the flowers. These gardens are desert miracles, oases. They were embodied also in the carpets so that people could create an oasis anywhere in the world. A space for rest or prayer.

My carpet is an interpretation of these oriental rugs, an oasis in the urban jungle. The text in the border “dark moments do not define you” talks about  hope, that in the dark moments we are not fully ourselves and that we will bloom in our brighter moments. It is kind of a mantra or a wish. In the center I interpret symbols and motifs of traditional oriental rugs. The carpet defines personal space, symbols and motifs on the carpet carry the atmosphere of such space.

Since it is my subjective expression – a painting of sorts – it balances on the edge between fine art and design. At the same time I work with the functionality of the carpet, such as the definition of personal space, the creation of an oasis and home wherever in the world. An interior accesory and a suggestive meditation aid, both at the same time.
