Is the person in my childhood photographs ME?

Is the person in my childhood photographs ME?

An exploration of the meaning of self, the disconnection between one’s outer physical being and inner identity in the past and the present.

Administering the gaze to our own image bring us to experience a series of steps which make us aware of our own being as a separate entity comprised of senses, feelings, experiences, thoughts, physical body…

I can be sure that even if I do not share memories with the child in the photograph, I am nevertheless the outcome of our shared experiences. My identity is a fluid substance comprised of experiences,  held together by the continuity of consciousness.

The person in my childhood photograph became me.
